Anthracite coal import data



Anthracite has wide applications in manufacturing, construction and industrial applications and hence has great demand in developing countries like India. India imported approximately $15,467,654 worth of Anthracite during the month June’14. 76% of the import was made from Russia
and nearly 14% was imported from Ukraine and the rest from other countries like China, Latvia, Italy, Germany, etc. Vizag and Paradip ports led the top imports accounting for 36% of the country’s entire import share. Shortly followed by these ports were Pipavab and Calcutta Sea port which gathered 12% and 8% of the imports respectively. The average shipment value for the month is computed as $736,555.

Anthracite coal import data statistics provide an insight into the demand that is existing in the country. The data also enables existing traders of anthracite to approach local buyers with quotes that can beat international suppliers. It helps them to win new business contracts for supply of anthracite to factories, mines, power generating companies, etc. the data is compiled from the official records of the Indian customs department located at the various ports in India. More than twelve major ports and hundred plus minor ports are involved in the process of preparing this data which is stored in a central server. Anthracite coal import data is a collection of summarized information of anthracite imports into the country from various parts of the world that is classified based on various parameters.
