Carbon
additive is largely used in car tyre manufacturing industries, coke
manufacturing industries and for production of plastic, inks and paints. It is
a basic component that is combined with various other raw materials for
obtaining color pigments. India gets its carbon additive supplies from two
major countries – Norway and China.
China is the more dominant supplier with $219,409 followed by Norway with $89,358 worth of supplies during June’14. 60% of the import is unloaded at the JNPT yard and the rest spread across other sea ports like Raipur ICD, Calcutta Sea, Nagpur and Chennai. $154,384 is estimated to be the average import during the month of June’14.

calcined petroleum coke, artificial graphite and carbon additive with sulphur
contents. The data is available for purchase from various export and import
companies. it is updated regularly on a real time basis ensuring that it is not
outdated and can relied upon for making present business decisions. The import
data is created from underlying documents prepared by the customs department when
the cargo arrives at the port.
