JNPT import data

Jawaharlal Nehru port is one of the most reputed and biggest sea ports in India. It handles a lion share of India’s exports and imports. The port also boasts to hold the position as the largest container port in India. The sea port is located on the southern of Mumbai, Maharashtra.
The port can be accessed from two sides, via the Arabian Sea or through the Thane creek.

The port is managed by the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust a wholly owned subsidiary of the Indian government. Most of the sea ports are managed by public-private partnership. Some of them are completely owned by the central government whereas minor sea ports are under the management of the sea ports. These ports will undergo expansion plans gradually and will be escalated as major ports and finally transferred under Central government monitoring.

JNPT import data is a collection of import and export data and relevant statistics. It is prepared by the customs officials deputed in the port under Central government authority. The data is prepared from computer records which contain information about every single consignment imported or exported from the port. JNPT is the largest container port in the country making it one of the most used ports in India. JNPT import data is a summary of all international trade transactions that has taken place through the port during a particular period of time.
